Artist Statement:
This piece reflects how Chicago looks to some onlookers, but in the background, it’s a beautiful city with great art and great culture. I wanted to utilize positive and negative space to make the piece full, and most of the objects symbolize a deeper meaning. For example, the wrench symbolizes the great feat that building Chicago was.
