Description: The water is symbolizing how you can drown in your emotions, and there are many people there. There is a darkness at the bottom that holds on to you tightly if you get to that point. Most of the people are blinded by their own emotions, while the figure in the center is able to see, and recognizes that there are others in the water as well. The painting has an unfinished look to it, sort of showing the panic and tiredness that you can experience when you’ve fallen in the water. The outside of the water is white and pristine, as is the people. Just because the people are in the water, does not mean they are part of the water, or that they are bad people.
Artist Statement: This piece shows how everyone is struggling.
