Artist Statement: After looking at the amazing work of L. Hogin, I realized that I liked her style of painting and wanted to create work in her style. She inspired me but more importantly the Alebrijes Mr. Nuno showed in his slides from when he studied in Mexico had a bigger influence on my work. I wanted to create a mix breed using these components required for the project: bird, reptile, and mammals.
