Artist Statement: I made this piece for a family member but it was also for myself. I felt as if I had to put all my skills and effort into making this portrait look its best and capture the person’s emotion and facial expression. It was a well thought out piece that I put my time and effort for my family member to feel satisfied with it and see it everyday, including myself. I felt very satisfied with it and worth the time spent on it.
