Description: For this artwork, I wanted to portray my overall theme of major events shown through buildings/landscapes. This artwork is meant to highlight the impact of the Chinese government on the Uyghur Muslims by putting them into these “detention centers” in Xinjiang, China for having “extreme beliefs in Islam”. The silhouettes of the Uyghur masks and the words in the sky are meant to depict how they are being tortured and abused.
