Artist Statement:
These photos were either taken on my Nikon D5600 or with my phone, then edited using Adobe Lightroom Classic or the photo editor on my phone. I noticed that the subjects gave off a strong feeling that I found interesting, so I decided to take their pictures because of that notion. Then, I edited them to amplify that feeling and finalize the vision I had. I prefer my pictures to exude a clear emotion on first glance, before the viewer dives into the composition. For me, photography is a vessel of emotion rather than cool-looking visual elements, although, that doesn’t mean I’m opposed to them. Overall, these five photos are the ones I thought had the strongest feelings coming from them, so they are my favorites.
