Artist statement: I made this piece to show the ideas of gender identity. I used printmaking because it has more effect when creating my piece. I was inspired to make it because I wanted to show the ideas and attention that people get when finding out who they are and what they want to be able to identify as. I loved using relief prints because I was able to make what I wanted and was able to keep my idea and reuse it. I have had troubles with my identity and I wanted to be able to showcase it with this piece.
