Artist Statement: Photography has always been my way of taking screenshots of my life for others to see the nostalgia I feel at times, what I value in life, and myself. The purpose of my photos is to archive points in my life to summarize what I’ve been through and to look back at the things I’ve accomplished. Sometimes I like to take a picture and leave it at how it is, sometimes I like to collage it, sometimes I like to add effects to it, it all depends on my mood. The flexibility and creativity photography produces is something I like to experiment with in my pieces to add variety and depth to my artwork. I think I will continue to use photography in my artistic journey throughout life in hopes to improve my skills to convey even deeper meanings to my work that can connect to others.
