Artist Statement:

I, like many fellow artists, draw my inspiration from animation and fictional characters. The idea that people’s stories and real life experiences can be conveyed through colorful and exaggerated worlds has always been intriguing to me. In my pieces I always try to connect with my comfort medium, that being cartoons. I enjoy experimenting with my art style often and seeing the many distinct ways of creating animated environments.

Isometric rooms are like condensed snapshots of one’s reality which is what animation is all about. For this project I used Illustrator and used the 3D tools to create the room’s larger items, then moving on to smaller items and details. Figuring out how to make certain shapes was indeed a challenge, but fun to figure out.
