Artist Statement: I hope that my audience is impacted from my work by the visual representation of colors throughout my artworks. Since all of my artworks are concert-related, they all have the same general layout; the media and colors are what set them out, but I want my audience to be struck by how cohesive they are. My goal is to convey to my audience the same sense of what it could appear and feel like to be in a concert setting.
In my opinion, the sound of the music when the lights strike your face and everyone is huddled up tight around you is what really defines a concert. The most important lesson I learned from concerts is the sense of freedom to be who you want and the sense that you belong somewhere. It gives me the chance to express myself freely and, for me, it also offers an escape from reality into a world of music. I want my artwork to convey a message to my audience that enables them to retain any emotion they have while viewing it.
