Artist Statement: When I think of home I think of humanity collectively as a whole. It’s the people who make up the World we live in. I wanted to create something that encapsulated how I saw humanity as clearly as possible. The poem “Us” is a look into how society exists together and acknowledges I contribute to the broken World too. Broken people can’t form a perfect home so I hope my poem will clear the rose colored view and inspire change in peoples hearts, their first and forever home.
