Description: The title of this piece is Ghost, and it is inspired by a poem of the same name, written by Cynthia Huntington. The piece was created in response to an assignment for my English Language Arts class in which we were free to design an artwork to visually represent a poem of our choice. Ghost is a mixed media design and was created using acrylic paints with collage cutouts taken from a variety of magazines. What this piece means to me and what I want to share with others with this painting is that all people are afraid even and especially in death, and therefore feel the need to hide.
