Description: Inspired by my own concept of vulnerability, Raw is a piece about the desire of vulnerability. This feeling that comes “right from the heart” urged me to place emphasis on this body part. I feel the act of sharing fruit with someone is an intimate gesture which is why the grapefruit takes the place of the heart–sharing both sweet and sour parts of yourself with someone else. Lasty, the concept of using fruit alongside human anatomy intrigued me due to the similarities in texture for both.
