Artist Statement: In my work, I express my love for music by taking inspiration from the material in songs/albums/mixtapes and visualizing said music into a cohesive series of paintings and drawings. I do this by investigating the sounds, words, and the lives of the artists themselves; evident by my work in which I borrow from their aesthetics. In other words, sympathizing or even empathizing with the artist responsible for inspiring me. I question how powerful their influence is to awaken something creative in the world. Music is art too, I visualize their sounds into works that the audience can take in.
