Artist Statement: For each of my artworks, that I prefer to call ‘Doodles’, I usually make them when ever I am somewhat bored in class or when I have nothing to do. I usually start with a random shape or pattern that I like and continue on. I also like to sometimes mix different shapes and patterns together in one piece. Also, each of my artworks are mostly for fun and don’t have much deep meaning. I also sometimes try and look at patterns I made back in Freshman (because that was when I started to doodle) to get inspirations for new drawings. I have also started to draw each of my patterns on post-its as a guide for the future so that I do not need to keep looking at my old drawings. I made most of my doodles with the same pen that I got from France from a class I was taking but unfortunately ran out of ink so I am now sometimes using an ink pen to doodle. I still have to look online to see where I can buy a new pen. Each of my doodles are important to me because they make me feel good about my art style and I love to see others look at my doodles.
