Artist Statement: I made this because I wanted to recreate a piece from a book that I really like but with some of my own elements. I used characters I created and original scenery but with the template of the original piece. I based the scenery on where I think the characters would meet in the same sort of conflict the original piece. I wanted to sort of make a skewed perspective from the viewpoint of the image and I feel like I did that well. I did that to portray the feeling of distinction between characters similarly to the original image.
