Artist Statement: This piece contrasts society’s perception of homeless people having nothing with the fact that this man has love and companionship with his dog. This piece was made with little detail and a muted color palette to mimic the passing glance that is typically given to people facing homelessness. It was also made on a cardboard-like surface to reference the cardboard signs homeless people typically hold.
