Description: Inspired by Henri Cartier Bresson street photography, I explored Chicago on a day that many would call gloomy. The rainy and busy atmospheric mood sets a scene that contrasts vibrant colors such as red and orange against blacks and whites creating a compelling feeling for my audience. I was fascinated by the calming emotion given off by the reflections and the position of the man in the photo. The way that everything appears to be so symmetrical and perfectly aligned under the bridge gave me a new perspective on how I view the city. I was inspired by how dark and rainy weather highlights new beauty.
