Artist Statement: I used beaker holders for the eyes and mouth of my giraffe. To draw them realistically I held them in the position that they would face in the photo to get the perspective correct. I made sure my animal was recognizable and realistic by comparing it to a photo of the real animal. I think I improved my shading and blending skills because I had to use them to get the light and shadow correct in my drawing.
