Artist Statement: I focused my work from dreams that I have had and that I found remarkably beautiful, the moments that I had stayed in my dreams, impacted me to think a lot of how the dream occurred, the things and moments around me. Spending my days in my dream world painting with acrylic paint and color pencils for how to make the moments in my dreams a reality. As i’ve gone through the school year i’ve noticed that the moments in my dream were not the only remarkable beautiful moments, I soon began to notice of the shape of clouds in the real world and the way the colors fade silently and softly together brought my mind a lot of clarity and thoughts about how remarkably beautiful simple things really were. I Began to reach towards the idea of how events felt with color use of darker and lighter shade of blue, red, yellow and mixing all these colors together to create new colors.
In the past I’ve thought about how I was going to convey dream like moments. one of the things i loved most about this idea was that i could take real objects, humans, and nature to look indifferent from the actual inspired moment. I never used colors that I seen in the moment such as with the sky, being able to mess around with it reminds me a lot of a world that I can only stand on, just like in my dreams.
