Artist Statement: Originally my sustained investigation was about pollution and climate change, but I felt like it didn’t connect with me and although I do care about the problems we face in the world with climate change, I felt like my art wasn’t meant for it. So my new sustained investigation is about creating video game covers of horror/thriller games. I feel like a question I ask myself “How can I make a game cover original?” Which will guide me to try to make it unique and try not to use a basic story of a thriller/horror.
In my art I usually use the pen tool with gradients. The reference I used was my own photoshoot. I tried to caption an angle of how a villain will look, so I decided to do a side view in my 1 piece. For the house that I have taken, I was walking my dog out and was looking around the houses that could give a vibe or horror especially in the nights, as I was in the alley I came by a house that just gave me a vibe of horror.
