Artist Statement: The artwork I have submitted is to show how happiness can be found in different outlets such as everyday life (“Little Miss Sunshine”), sports (“A Happy Athlete”), and culture (“Boricua”). In trying times like the world we live in now, it is essential to recapture a sense of happiness, which I want to show through my work.
