Artist Statement: Usually when I’m taking pictures of anything, whether it be myself or a different subject, I generally don’t have an expectation of how that picture should turn out. If anything, I love the way the world looks naturally and I feel that many people should take a step back to admire the scenery. On this particular day (I took all these pictures in one day) me, my mom, and my older cousin went walking down town. Me and my cousin had our cameras and started taking pictures of random things at random angles to see the different outcomes. The only difference was that she had a vision of how she wanted her pictures to come out, I did not. I am surprised to see how just how great these photos came out, considering the fact that in some of them the bright light from the sky really got to my eyes so I couldn’t see what the images looked like until I got home. These pictures just look so calming to me and really brings out the inner beauty Chicago has in itself.
