Description: During class, we had to create a piece representing mixed African artwork. I chose a simplistic style in the background with a very detailed portrait of a woman (and her hair has flowers in it as a pattern). I felt that this piece was a very diverse piece in colors, style, and meaning. We don’t see much African representation in Western media. The characteristics of the woman along with the intricacy of the art style are truly amazing.
