Artist Statement: I wanted to make a miniature room, more specifically a forties themed bedroom. I wanted to capture the idea of “all American.” For example, my sculpture is in a bag to show one of the prizes you would get when you are at a carnival. This artwork isn’t exactly what someone would picture as “American”, it’s my interpretation of it. I’ve never ever been to a carnival, so I thought it would bring a different vibe to it.
