Artist Statement: This here is an ode to my Black people. We fight the battles we have no choice but to fight some days we may be tired, but we have to keep pushing and overcoming the many obstacles that can be thrown our way. We have to walk around with stereotypes stuck to our backs, but we don’t have to live by them. We are at the bottom of the pedestal just trying to make our way up and bring whom ever we may be able to bring up to surface level and above with us.
