Artist Statement: Mask’s have many purposes and can be used to change the identity of one or be used to show yourself as someone else. This mask represent Poseidon, god of the sea, in his underwater state with his scales and fins.
The reason why I made this piece was to have the identity of Poseidon so that I could act the way he would act in modern time. Also, I wanted to show what I think he would look like today in a mask to play as the god of the sea by using different designs and features to create this mask.
