Artist Statement: Artist Statement: ‘Portuguese Sunset’ is made of bright and warm colors. When making the structure, I had to initially paint 4 patterns, that I wasn’t too confident about, but after cutting it up to specific techniques, the sculpture grew on me. To me, the sculpture flourished with the adding of these techniques, multiple inspirations, and bold commitment.
