Artist Statement: Evenings swept in an unceasing tide of creativity; I’d experience rushes I could never recreate. In the moments that followed, there’d be an accompanying cluster of ideas. Ideas I let run amock till they connected seamlessly on a canvas. My artistic process was simple. I allowed concepts conjured in my head to run through my body till they amounted to something I relished & or rejected right before my eyes. The Creations pit against its counterpart within my head, there I dissected each piece. I never throw away a picture, design, or idea. I develop them into another project or use them as building blocks for a better one. It’s within the transition between what I visualize & create that I find my final product. The empty spaces cluttered with individual designs, erased. The canvas eventually becomes the very tide I’d experienced. Instead of in the night, it was the day. That’s how I create.
