Artist Statement: Immigrants throughout the world work extremely hard in order to provide for themselves as well as their families in a foreign land. This piece represents the two different Americas. One where a country is divided every time there is an attack by a middle eastern individual as opposed to a white American. The hijab created by money represents the immense hard work regardless of consistent discrimination and racism faced.
