Artist Statement: ‘Faith through another lens’ depicts a woman wearing a hijab surrounded by many other hijabs while verses from the Quran surround her. The depiction of this is done through two pictures. One image features a filter of color with another of black and white. Our personal faiths are expressed in what we wear, the colors we wear, and how we choose to represent ourselves. With a current age that is engulfed in social media, our selfies are a part of how we view ourselves and how others view us too.
