Artist Statement: My grandma was the greatest card player of all time. One might even say she was the queen of card games. I painted her on an actual playing card that’s 6×9 cm. My grandma passed away when I was in the 6th grade and I remember we used to watch PBS kids together every day. She was deaf, so she didn’t talk much but her presence was enough for me.
