Artist statement: While walking through the fields just south of the city, I came upon bunker upon bunker locked up and hidden beneath the earth it once sat on. While taking the photo of the once operated bunker, I began to wonder what types of events went on behind those closed doors. Was it war related, a smugglers hiding spot, or maybe just something one created in the event of a bomb going off. One thing is for certain, no one is getting in those doors anytime soon. So it’s up to you to imagine what went on behind those hidden doors.
