Blue is the color of a clear sky, the color of a violent ocean or a calm lake, the color of all seeing eyes, the color of sweet fruit, and the color of gorgeous flowers. The color blue represents so many wonderful things, in nature and outside of it. When I look at this painting, I think of it as a representation of all of those complex and amazing things, in a form of a woman.
