Artist Statement: This piece means a lot to me because it is a portrait of the main character from one of my favorite anime, Attack on Titan. When I look at this portrait, it reminds me of betrayal and death. I want to remind my audience that the enemy isn’t always what you think it is; sometimes it’s something that was there the entire time.
