Artist Statement: Immigration has been an important issue for the past few centuries. As it comes to some individuals as a blessing filled with new opportunities. It as well has its struggles and hardships. Laws being passed that make the positive outcome that it should be into an exhausting and difficult process. My inspiration comes from seeing a U.S flag in chains, as I felt this did not capture what immigration meant. I decided to add multiple countries who have lost their freedoms and rights to the system.
