Artist Statement: The inspiration for this photo came during the process of creation, not the planning. The light created these perfectly placed shadows on the wall and on the model which pushed me as an artist to move my camera in order to get just the right angle. The lines that were created by the model with her arms and her body accentuated the shapes that she was surrounded by. Even though I chose to make the picture black and white to make it appear more dramatic and intense, the lighting allows softness and delicacy, which is why I chose this picture to display.
