Artist Statement: I am interested in motion photography because it shows action and movement in a picture. These images represent something that you might see on a daily basis. Something that inspired me to take those pictures would be my desire to show everyday life though the pictures. The images show that everything around us can be beautiful if you capture the right perspective.
My inspiration behind the image, “Importance” was the actual water itself. I also really liked the black and white background because it adds some visuals but does not take away the main focus of the image which is the water. Pictures of lakes, rivers and streams inspired me to take this photo because the water in those other images looked sharp and clean.
Although I’m not looking at photography as a career, it is something that I want to continue doing in my free time because it challenges me and forces me to think outside of the box.
