Artist Statement: My piece is inspired by controversy and politics. The main focus is a picture of the White House and I used an elephant as a symbol of power, wisdom, and intelligence. I added the cat and dog because of the saying “fighting like cats and dogs” since a lot of controversy and arguing happens regarding the White House and politics. Finally, I included a “racism is a pandemic” sign because a lot of people who are political figures often do or say racist things, and I added the circus because oftentimes in today’s media people get called “clowns” because of stuff they say.
