Artist Statement: The emotions and effects we face when (mentally or physically) seizing onto anything too forcefully, I have discovered to be very human. It can be anything
from a wish in your head to a meaningful object. This piece made from buff clay,
low fire glaze, flowers, and a sentimental bracelet metaphorically depicts the
process of how when we grasp onto something too intense or over prolonged, the
value and meaning behind it won’t endure but fade in its natural ways like these
flowers.
