Description: This piece represents the simple comfort of home.
Artist Statement: To me this piece is meant to show that while your home can be simple it can be the place that is most important to you. The simplicity is represented because my own house is drawn with only lines. There is no shading are a lot of detail. The image is pulled from my own camera roll. I took the photo when I had just gotten home from a trip and realized how important my home was to me so I took a picture knowing that I would always have that photo. The background is blue since it is a calming color. For most people including myself my house is very calming so I wanted the color of the fabric to match those feelings.
