Artist Statement: This piece comes from a series I did about some of our (subjectively) worst modern presidents in accordance with some of the most ridiculous and horrible things that they’ve said. I paired each quote with an image of the president that I thought fit quite well, and then reenacted the image with me as the president. In this specific piece, I wanted to call attention to Nixon’s apparent lack of responsibility in the burning of tapes during Watergate.
