Artist Statement: The piece you are viewing is made of paper, fabric, ribbons, polymer clay, tin foil, glass, and watercolors. Now the human mind is a hot mess. The complexity of our thoughts is unmatched by any other being, simply because of our emotions. My piece expresses the emotions I feel throughout my adolescent years. The emotions may be curiosity, embarrassment, neglect, or just good old peer pressure. The chaos of the piece is intentionally meant to describe that no mind is the same. No emotion should be expressed in vain, which makes everyone sort of insane.
