Artist Statement: So my work was originally a decent representation of a cross between technology and decay as a concept. The piece is made up of three parts being the technological parts in the form of the origami and the change of how you view the piece, The bottom portions being a representation on fresh technology unaffected by ideas or enhancement. The second portion is decay Which has the withering flowers and white vines, some webs to add onto the aging, it reaches down in the pieces and tries to overtake the new technology at some points. The last portion being the inside which does covet anything but originally its showing pieces forces being put together it’s an amalgam of the two concepts as clash of decay and technology though it’s not showing as I describe.
