Artist Statement: My piece is about pollution and how it affects us. The materials I used are found objects that I found around my home and recycled material. Each part of my piece represents a different aspect/element of how the earth and living creatures are affected; water, air, earth. The earth is represented by rocks, grass, and a tree branch in the shape of an infinity sign (to represent on going life). The plastic is supposed to represent how nature is now becoming more artificial. The rocks represent the earth, the blue plastic represents the water life and how the plastic in the water harms and traps the animals. The cloud lungs show how air pollution (all the smoke from factories and cars) can harm our lungs.
