Artist Statement:
Woman in the Shadows is one of my favorites. I used different lighting to create a very dramatic and also suspenseful shot mimicking the kind of film that was used to capture femme fatale actresses during the film noir period. I love this piece because I was able to portray my friend not only in a different light, but also as a different character. The element of mystery gives this piece extra drama.
