Artist Statement:
Why do I do art? My art is the only way I express my feelings. I began creating art because it helps me when I am sad, when I’m angry and when I am happy or worried. Art helps me to express my feelings more accurately. I often feel inadequate when I talk to people about my feelings. It’s like a guessing game to see what I am feeling. Am I sad or I mad? Am I happy? Sometimes I don’t even know, all I know is that I love my art and I will never give it up. I find my inspiration from my mind, friends, family and Pinterest. My art work is like family to me. I love drawing. It helps me to see the progress I have made with techniques and where I still need to grow. I learning to draw faces better. I love to draw human hearts and hands. Some key ideas and themes are realism. I love all kinds of art. I also work in clay, painting, and watercolors. I gather information and inspiration from tv shows and by looking at the meaning of shapes. I would like my art to help people process their feelings, the range of human emotions, both the good and bad. It is Ok when things do not go my way.
