Artist Statement:
“AMPs,” or Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome, is a misunderstood form of chronic pain I’ve dealt with my entire life. Inspired by popular surrealist and horror aesthetics I’ve taken comfort from over the years, I used a combination of online images and my own drawings to try and portray the warped horror invisible pain conditions can feel like.
