Artist Statement:
Eyes of a dead man remain open, the tears of his heart remain frozen in place. A throne, sat on for the rest of the wounded stands as a saint and An empty-hearted prince, weary after battle is a savior to his despised soul. The corrupt veil of white clashes with the contrast of ebony black. Its as if the moon lit night interwined with the grand cold of snow. The silent hum of a prince is the only presence of his muted world. I have no questions in the lessons found through this piece. This is my first painting, a creation that took hours on end and countless sleepless nights. – Sid J
