Artist Statement:
A girl is leaving the reality she has been living, as represented by the carnival rides which go nowhere. She holds her dream in her hands to illuminate the way, while her mantel of hardened blood reminds her of her heritage and quest. The moon shines on the remnants of her past battles between achieving her dream and reality.
